Swampside.ORG provides non-commercial (hobbyist) web, mail and ftp support for those people approved by its administator. It does not take on hosting requests from strangers, mission-critical hosting services, and will not deliberately aid or abett spammers in any way.

Swampside.ORG runs on an old HP Vectra (233 Mhz Pentium 2, 96 Megs of RAM). It has proven itself a predator by eating various other old machines and integrating a series of hard drives from its prey. It is a poor predator in that it still doesn't have a lot of space. One day, it too will be eaten by a stronger predator. This is the cycle of computer life.
It is running Linux (Slackware), Apache, Squirrelmail and a lot of other things I won't bother to mention.
Net connectivity was via a SDSL modem, but having to go through a Service Provider, local Telco and third party intermediary meant I had too many problems that took too long to resolve. I'm now on a business account cable modem.
